Physiotherapy (Kitchener)

Physiotherapy is a primary health care profession that supports individuals across the lifespan to restore, maintain, and optimize movement and physical function. Physiotherapy care spans health promotion, injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, chronic disease management, maintenance of functional mobility, and patient education.

Registered Massage Therapy (Kitchener)

Massage therapy primarily involves hands-on manipulation of the body’s soft tissues—specifically muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and joints—to optimize health. Massage therapy treatment is commonly used to relieve muscle tension and pain, reduce stress, and support general wellness.

Orthotics (kitchener)

Custom foot orthotics are medical devices inserted into your shoes to support, align, and improve how the foot and lower limb function. When combined with appropriate footwear, orthotics can help reduce pain, improve stability, and enhance overall mobility.

I’m Angela Quick, a Canadian Certified Pedorthist passionate about helping others alleviate their foot pain. Stemming from an interest in both science and sport I graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics. Finding fascination in understanding the function and biomechanics of the human body I continued my education at the University of Western Ontario obtaining a degree in Pedorthics in 2012, and later that year became a Canadian Certified Pedorthist.

Sport has played a significant role in my life; I competed as a professional triathlete, swam as part of the University of Guelph varsity swim team, as well as found a passion for distance running. With residual swim-bike and run speed I continue to enjoy my love for endurance sport but at an amateur level. In 2018 and 2022 I raced at the Ironman World Championships. It’s not unusual for you to spot me running or riding on local routes. Sport has given me an appreciation for movement and a better understanding of the bodies ability to perform.

What exactly is a Pedorthist?

A Canadian Certified Pedorthist is an expert in designing, fitting and modifying custom-made foot orthotics and footwear. They consult with patients to determine a pedorthic treatment plan to best meet the patient’s needs.

Pedorthics is the science and practice of evaluating, fabricating and delivery of foot orthotics and footwear to prevent or improve painful or disabling conditions of the foot and lower limb.
